The Domaine "La Ferme du Mont" is a true gem, its vineyards, some with very old vines, are completely integrated into the pristine Provencal landscape. The many old vines that yield low yields are the secret behind the outstanding quality of the wines. They are masterpieces that are easy for even the novice to understand, bursting with sheer fruit and produced in harmony with nature. The extensive use of natural farming methods, with minimal reliance on artificial fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in the vineyards, is a matter of course here.
Wine critic Robert Parker calls it the "rising star of the appellation" and writes: "An exciting new estate in the southern Rhône is La Ferme du Mont, run with considerable enthusiasm and meticulousness by Stephane Vedeau. I am thrilled with his wines; to me, they combine the best of the southern Rhône with a grace and elegance found in Burgundy's Grand Crus. And Stephane Vedeau not only produces exquisite Châteauneuf-du-Pape but also fantastic Côtes-du-Rhône."
