wine title:
Pinot Noirwine description:
Pinot Noir is not included in the South Styria DAC system. For this reason, the rule applies that the origin (Pössnitzberg) is not indicated on the bottle label. Pössnitzberg is the heart of the winery, and the vineyards there have soil conditions that are unique in Austria and similar to those that allow these wines to thrive in their original homeland: extremely poor, calcareous soils combined with other special soil structures that are also prevalent in Burgundy.country:

Spontaneously fermented and vinified with natural yeasts, according to the traditional Burgundian method.vineyard:
The Pössnitzberg lies on the southern edge of the "West Styrian Bay" of the Styrian Basin. Formerly (in the Neogene), several 1,000 metre thick marine sediments were deposited here. Warm updrafts from the Slovenian valleys meet cool air currents from the Koralpe to the west. The large temperature differences result in a spicy and varied aroma development.Ernte:
