The wines beautifully showcase the diversity of New Zealand's wine regions Marlborough and Central Otago. Crafted from a careful selection of the finest grapes from top vineyards, these wines are an absolute commitment to quality. It is said that there is nowhere in the world a wine tastes quite like Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough. The grapes for the Pinot Noir come from the southernmost wine-growing region on Earth: Central Otago. This expressive and elegant wine beautifully reflects the dramatic mountain landscape with cold winters and warm summers.
In New Zealand, wine was first planted in the year 1820. Thirty years earlier, the ancestor of Dr. Bert Salomon had founded the Salomon Undhof winery in Austria, on the other side of the world, as a first-generation winemaker. Christopher Andrew, a New Zealander in the 4th generation, came to Salomon Undhof in 2008 for the harvest. Chris is a graduate of the oenological faculty of Lincoln University in Christchurch, New Zealand, and an extremely sensitive and experienced winemaker.
The Salomon & Andrew joint venture reflects this shared attachment to viticulture on two continents.
