A winery embedded in the earth and propelled by Vitorino, the fifth generation of the Eguren family. In 1989, he decided to construct this winery on the family's largest estate, Sotovin, in Páganos. It is this family tradition that drives the Eguren Ugarte winery in Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. At the foot of the Sierra Cantabria and surrounded by 130 hectares of vineyards, the winery adheres to a philosophy that its founder, Vitorino Eguren, always had clearly in mind. It's a spirit of hospitality and attention to the visitor that sums up centuries of the way of life of the farmers of Rioja Alavesa.
