Stephane Vedeau is a prolific winemaker, creating award-winning wines from the south of France and northern Spain. Wherever he works, his objective is ripeness without heaviness, which can only come from hard work (and talent) in the vineyard. La Ferme du Mont is his estate in the southern Rhône Valley in France, where he produces Côtes du Rhône Villages, Vacqueyras, Gigondas, and Chateauneuf du Pape. Jancis Robinson declared the latter a “majestic wine” and rated it one of the top three wines of the category in the 2007 vintage.
Vedeau owns a total of 50 hectares in the Rhône and heads up a youthful team. Enthusiasm is the order of the day here, and all the vines are cultivated with regard to the environment, so no herbicides or pesticides are used.
He also consults for other vignerons throughout the Languedoc and Spain, Galileo SL is one of them.
