Details

Even after counting every drop of rain and turning over every stone, the question still remains as to where France's wines got its distinctive taste from. France is undoubtedly the darling of the vine, and produces more diverse wines than any other country in the world. Wine is an integral part of culture. France not only has vineyards of excellent quality, but also classifies them - for almost 200 years the best sites have been classified. The wines of France, despite the meteoric rise of other areas, still remain a landmark and are copied all over the world. France is the "La Grande Nation" of wine! Of the 14 wine-growing regions, Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhône, Loire and Champagne stand out in particular. The country has a temperate climate, which is characterized by the Atlantic Ocean. On the Atlantic coast, rather constant temperatures prevail, in the interior, rather cold winters and hot summers. Vineyard area: approx. 800,000 ha | Annual production: approx. 40 Mhl
