The estate takes its name from the Colle Rugate range of hills, on whose gentle slopes wine has been grown for centuries. The Azienda Agricola Ca'Rugate was founded in 1986. In the heart of Soave lie the vineyards that form the foundation of Ca'Rugate. In 2000, after a long and arduous search, 10 hectares of red vines were finally purchased near Montecchia di Crosara. They are located in the traditional Valpolicella growing area. The constant work in the vineyards and the unshakeable belief in the typical wines of their region have led Ca'Rugate to invest steadily in the winery. Today, Ca'Rugate has 60 hectares of vineyards. For the Tessari brothers, above all Michele, the soil and the vineyards come first. The prudent use of modern technology in the cellar serves solely to bring out the typical characteristics that the terroir gives to the wines. The international successes that Ca'rugate enjoys year after year prove that the Tessari brothers and their philosophy are right.
