This exceptional winery excels in many areas. Its diverse vineyards allow for the production of white, red, sparkling, and sweet wines. The estate was taken over by Michael Malat in 2008 and has been family-owned since its founding in 1722. Michael's goal is to create wines that people enjoy drinking, with each wine reflecting his personal touch – elegance, finesse, and drinkability! His father, Gerald, also pursued this winemaking style. The Malat family has mastered the art of producing a full range of wines, from light whites to complex reds. The foundation of the high quality of Malat wines lies in perfectly ripened grapes, hand-harvested exclusively from their own vineyards. Careful leaf and soil management, gentle pressing, slow fermentation, and delicate vinification result in the finesse and complexity that have become the hallmark of Malat wines.
