Why Windspiel? The name Windspiel (the German name for a greyhound) goes back to Frederick the Great and his potato decree of 1746, which bestowed upon his homeland one of the finest natural products in the world. And his second great passion was greyhound dogs. The symbiosis of these two passions were the inspiration for the naming of the manufactory. And besides, greyhounds are incredibly casual, extremely elegant and utterly exacting in their attitude.
