    Vintage Description:

    Intense golden yellow. The precious noble rots then suff use Massaccio with ripe fruit, particularly golden delicious apples and pears with notes of honey, fruit and nuts, aniseed and Mediterranean herbs. In the mouth it is rounded and crisp, with well-balanced notes of bitter almond, which are characteristic of the grape variety. With long months of bottle ageing, fi nally, the wine expresses pleasant and intriguing hydrocarbon notes.

    Vinification:

    Grapes are carefully destemmed, in order to keep the grapes as intact as possible, and then left to macerate cold in the press (cryomaceration) for a period of at least 10-12 hours. This process extracts all the aromatic properties from the grape’s aroma packed skins. The wine then ferments in concrete tanks at temperatures of 18-20°C.

    Ageing:

    The wine matures for a few months on its trub and completes its development in concrete tanks. After bottling, the wine matures for at least 8 months in the bottle.
