The site Poharnig with a total area of approximately 4 ha is located in the cadastral community Pössnitz and is exclusively cultivated by the Erwin Sabathi Winery. Due to the tension between hot days and cool nights in combination with slight winds blowing from the Koralpe mountain range the substance of the Sauvignons grown on this site is enormously salty. Sauvignons from Poharnig are ready to enjoy right from the beginning, however have the potential to age considerably.
