Complete description
Vintage Description:
The wine displays an intense ruby red with black core and purple rim. In the nose embossed with ripe cherry aromas, that are framed by nuances of chocolate - accompanied by a hint of violet and gentle flavour of wood. On the palate the multitude of aromas with enjoyable acidity and well-embedded tannins gives the wine a full appearance. A Zweigelt in a class of its own - pure pleasure!wine:
wine title:
Ried Altenberg Zweigeltwine description:
"We decided to bottle this wine as a single varietal because its high iron and mineral content strongly shape its character. The typical Zweigelt profile, often associated with soft, accessible cherry fruit, is absent here. Instead, the wine presents a dense tannin structure, appearing firm, bold, and somewhat untamed in its youth." Aging for a few years is absolutely essential.country:
