In 1994, Count Hardegg Vineyards was the first winery in Austria to produce a fortified sweet wine. The name Porticus used at the time was changed to Forticus (fortify = add alcohol) after protests from the “Instituto do Vinho do Porto”. This wine is designed for a very long bottle storage. Its characteristic makes it a superb match with chocolate desserts. It is only produced in years with excellent red wines.

      Vintage Description:

In the nose, there are notes of black berries, leather, pepper, undergrowth, mushrooms, and dried herbs. On the palate, there's a sweet dark fruit with a hint of tobacco-like woodiness, accompanied by pepper and herbs. A pleasant acidity and fine tannins provide good depth with a subtle saltiness. The long, firm finish offers sweet, bitter, and smoky-woody flavors.

      Details zur Herkunft:

      Zertifiziertes biologisches Produkt

      Bio:
